Structural Design Partnership was established in 1978 by Robert Astley and Andrew Tooby. The Practice has developed and now operates as a limited company with Michael Clarke, Glenn Taylor, Guy Pitt and Chris Perry as Directors. Robert Astley and Andrew Tooby continue their association as Consultants. In June 2008 the company merged with Structural Design Consultants, who had particular experience working in the Health and Education sectors, with Chris Perry becoming a Director and Steve Roughton a Consultant. Every commission irrespective of size becomes the individual day to day responsibility of a Director/Consultant with whom the Client can identify and to whom he can express his needs. They will organize use of technical and other support staff as necessary thus ensuring continuity of the design and service to the client. Drawings are produced using the most recent version of AutoCAD and we also use a wide selection of structural and civil analysis and design software. We have a strong commitment to quality and are ISO 9001 certified. The company also maintains appropriate levels of Professional Indemnity and other insurances. The Company undertakes a wide variety of work, encompassing Residential, Industrial, Education, Health, Retail and Commercial projects as well as Domestic reports and remedial works. In addition to Structural Engineering we can provide Civil Engineering Services including Roads and Drainage. As a company, we are committed to sustainable forms of construction and, where applicable, will specify cement replacements, recycled aggregates and renewable building materials. |
